Protect the Northern Angeles Forest By
Adding Your Name in Support of Lasting Protections
The Northern Angeles Forest is one of Southern California’s most vital natural areas. These 240,000 acres of public lands in northern Los Angeles County protect clean drinking water, sustain wildlife, honor deep Tribal cultural history, and provide outdoor access for millions of people each year.

The Northern Angeles Forest deserves lasting protection.

Honor Tribal Nations and Cultural Heritage
These lands include sacred sites and ancestral homelands of the Tataviam and Chumash Peoples. Permanent protection would help safeguard cultural resources and historic landmarks such as the Ridge Route, the Pacific Crest Trail, and the site of the St. Francis Dam. Monument designation would recognize the deep history of this region and support enduring stewardship.

Protect Drinking Water
The Northern Angeles Forest includes the headwaters and tributaries of the Santa Clara River Watershed, which provides drinking water to communities across the region, such as Santa Clarita.Protecting these lands helps secure clean and reliable water while reducing wildfire and erosion risks that threaten water quality.

Safeguard Wildlife and Migration Corridors
From mountain lions and black bears to rare plants and sensitive species, this forest provides critical habitat and migration pathways. Monument designation would conserve biodiversity, strengthen ecological resilience, and protect vital wildlife corridors.

Support Equitable Outdoor Access and Environmental Justice
The Angeles National Forest provides much needed outdoor spaces for communities that historically have had limited access to parks and open space. A monument designation could support expanded access to outdoor education and youth engagement, increase community stewardship and partnerships with local organizations, and improved infrastructure and safety resources that benefit visitors from across the region. Protected public lands also support outdoor recreation and local businesses that depend on a healthy landscape.

My Commitment
By adding my name, I am supporting the creation of a national monument and standing up for the permanent protection of the Northern Angeles Forest.

I support protecting Tribal heritage and sacred cultural sites, securing clean and reliable drinking water for surrounding communities, conserving critical wildlife habitat , and ensuring safe, equitable, and lasting public access to these irreplaceable public lands remain protected for future generations.

I also call on California’s leaders to work together and show strong leadership in securing long-term protections for this critical place, ensuring it remains safeguarded for the people, communities, and wildlife who depend on it.
